I wrote last year just before Easter about its meaning of death and rebirth. Easter a year ago was very cold and the spring was nowhere near. Thus, analysing and letting go was a stronger and more obvious analogy. But there will always be things that need to be changed. And it always needs to come from within us.
Now coming around this important time again, it feels much more evident to me the need to be grateful and welcome renewal. Renewal is the message that feels stronger to me this year. Time when all nature that was dormant is coming back to life in an undeniable way. Everything around us is constantly changing and renewing to survive and yet we get stuck in our routines. And when something changes we resist. We feel safe believing we can control the world around us.
Life is ever changing and that’s something that can never be changed. It’s the very nature of any existence. So why do we have such a hard time coping with the different or unplanned? Isn't that what brings us the most unexpected and surprising experiences?
I have resisted, tried to change and control things for too long. It’s time to just be welcoming, moving with the flow and accept that no day is the same as before. I want to feel confident knowing we learn along the way and that’s what will make us feel safe.
Renewal is actually happening minute by minute and that’s a grace to be appreciated. I'll try to accept nothing is safe or secure and therefore maybe I can enjoy every single day in its preciousness. No more waiting, no more dependency on different circumstances, no more resistance.
Just welcome every moment, each one at a time and let renewal be present in my life any and all instant.
